Channel Surfing for Monday, September 11

It's the five year anniversary of 9/11, so expect a lot of programming related to that, but if you're up for something a little lighter, there's always the 36 year tradition now on ESPN...and now with TonyKornheiser's smiling face. And a new "all-star" version of Hank Williams Jr.'s classic "Are You Ready for the Football?" (that's what it's called, right?).

Monday Night Football
4 p.m., ESPN

“Monday Night Football” just doesn’t seem as special on basic cable as it did on ABC. At least it gives ABC the chance to schedule shows on Mondays all season long, which I’m sure they’ll use wisely. Wait, I just checked. They’re running “Wife Swap” starting next week. Never mind.

Read about 9/11 programming, the season premiere of "The Tyra Banks Show" and some Lifetime movie here...yeah, there's not a lot on. Read a book, maybe.
